Portal

The Portal is a self-service interface that allows your end-users to authenticate and manage their licenses without requiring developer intervention.

Overview

The Portal provides your users with a way to:

  • Authenticate using their license key or account credentials
  • View their license details and status
  • Manage their account password
  • Reset their hardware ID (if enabled on the license)

This reduces support burden by giving users direct access to common account management tasks.

What Your Users Can Do

Authentication

Users can log in via two methods:

  • License Key + Password: Direct authentication using the license key
  • Username + Password: Account-based authentication

License Management

Once authenticated, users see:

  • License key and current status
  • License activation date and expiration
  • Hardware lock status and current hardware ID
  • Available actions based on license configuration

Account Settings

Users can:

  • Update their username
  • Change their password (with strength validation)
  • Reset their hardware ID (if HWID lock is enabled and resets are allowed)

Hardware ID Reset

The Portal supports self-service hardware ID resets when you enable the feature on a license. Users can reset their hardware binding to move the license to a new device, subject to:

  • License activation status
  • Reset cooldown period (configurable per license)
  • HWID reset permissions (configurable per license)

The Portal enforces all reset restrictions and displays clear reasons when resets are unavailable.
